Day 1 of 12 Days Rwanda and Uganda tour: Arrive in Rwanda.
As soon as your plane lands at Kigali International Airport, our team will be there to welcome you and start planning your safari in Rwanda. He will drive you to the Serena Hotel Kigali and, over a cup of coffee, will give you some basic information about the country. After lunch, you’ll have a city tour of Rwanda’s highlights and see interesting locations. The Gisenyi Genocide Museum, the Hotel la Palme, the church, the African market, and a classy urban restaurant are all nearby.
Day 2 out of 12 Rwanda and Uganda tour : Transfer to Akagera National Park.
Take in a breathtakingly brilliant sunrise over Kigali’s hills while eating breakfast on the lawns. You will return to the city center for a few more quick stops before moving on to Akagera National Park. When you get at Ruzizi Tented Safari Camp, you’ll go on an evening game drive to look at wildlife species as the day’s activities come to a close and nocturnal species emerge from their burrows. Slumber while enjoying the relaxing roars of the forest.
Day 3 of 12 Days Rwanda and Uganda tour: Game drive, boat cruise.
On the 3rd day of your 12 Days Rwanda and Uganda tour , have breakfast in the morning, then travel into the open grasslands with a guide to search for wildlife. The marshland, savannah grassland, and forest ecosystem of Akagera serves as the preferred home for lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, elands, and giraffes. boat trip, impalas, and several kinds of birds. Day 5 of 12 Days Rwanda and Uganda tour: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest.
On the 5th day of your 12 Days Rwanda and Uganda tour, After breakfast, you will leave for Nyungwe Forest in the south, stopping briefly at the National Museum and the traditional King’s Palace in Nyanza. You will stop for lunch at a fancy restaurant along the way, then check into Nyungwe Forest Resort in the late afternoon. Experience the distinctive features of a safari in Rwanda while taking in picturesque views of dense woodlands that appear to be completely silent.
Day 6 of 12 Days Rwanda and Uganda tour: Chimpanzee Tracking.
After a leisurely breakfast, your guide will take you to the ranger tourism office to formalize the rules for your Rwanda chimpanzee tracking trip. Around 8.30 am, the ranger guides will lead you into the forests for a chimpanzee tracking adventure. You will return in time for a picnic lunch under a tree and will have enjoyed your Rwanda trip. You will experience a bird’s eye view of life above the forest as you take a canopy walk through the forest and take in its picturesque views. As you get to your hotel, you can unwind and get over your day’s exhaustion.
Day 7: Transfer to Kibuye lakeside town.
Enjoy your Rwanda safari with a breakfast in the lawns at sunset. You will depart the hotel and be driven to Kibuye, a town on Lake Kivu’s coastline. Enjoy the lake’s refreshing winds while admiring the lovely background of floating islands. Take a guided tour to meet and converse with native Rwandans and hear their stories.
Day 8: Lake Kivu Explorations.
Enjoy your breakfast at sunset on the lakeshore as the cool lake winds caress your body. The lake’s interior will be explored on a boat tour. You will be back at the hotel in time for lunch. As you wait for your ride to the Volcanoes National Park in the late afternoon after lunch, you can go for a self-guided walk along the lake’s shoreline. At the park’s edge, at the Mountain Gorilla Hotel, you will check in.
Day 9: Gorilla trekking expedition.
On the 9th day of your 12 Days Rwanda and Uganda tour, Have a morning cup of steaming coffee while packing lunches for the tourism rangers’ office and taking in the unique exhilaration of gorilla trekking adventures. You will be evaluated for your level of preparedness for a gorilla trek, given ranger guides and porters, and separated into groups according to the gorilla family you will trek with. You will leave at exactly eight o’clock in the morning for the forests, where rangers will find the gorilla family, with whom you will spend an hour or so, depending on their moods. After that, you will descend to the trailhead where you will meet your safari driver, who will transport you to the accommodation. You will participate in the Iby’Iwacu traditional interaction with the local indigenous people near the mountain gorillas after lunch. Come watch them demonstrate their abilities in music, dance, storytelling, dressing, homesteading, food preparation, and other areas. You’ll head back to your accommodation at dusk.
Day 10: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest.
After breakfast, your guide will transport you from Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to the volcanoes national park. You will have lunch after checking into your lodging when you arrive in Uganda. After that, you’ll go to other communities to meet the residents and gain more insight into Ugandan culture.
Day 11: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking.
After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the pack to have a gorilla trekking orientation before heading into the forest to find the gorilla family you’ve been assigned to. You will return to your car after your gorilla expedition. If you’d like, you can spend the afternoon exploring the many walking routes in Bwindi Forest. However, you may prefer to unwind at the lodge and take in the stunning views of the Virunga Mountains in the distance and the surrounding forest.
Day 12: Transfer to Kigali.
You will depart for Kigali either for your planned flight or to return to your accommodation early in the morning. You have the option of taking a tour of Kigali’s city center and genocide memorial.
