Day 1: Arrival and Drive to Semuliki National Park.
On your day 1 of 3 days Semuliki National Park you will be picked by our safari guide from Entebbe International Airport. And he will give you a briefing about 3 days Semuliki National Park safari
Later you embark and proceed to Semuliki National Park, along the way you will have wa stopover for the enroute lunch and again proceed with your journey until your reach Semuliki National Park. You will check into your lodge for relaxation.
After you meet with your safari guide and go for the night game drive. Semuliki National Park has got the numbers of the nocturnal animal species that you sight with the help of the spotlight torches this where you will spot species like the mongoose, serval cats, pennant winged nightjars and others. This is where you will sight most of the nocturnal animal species you cannot see during the day.
When you get done with the night game drive you meet with your safari guide and return to the lodge for the dinner and the overnight.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in Toro-Semuliki Wildlife Reserve.
On the day 2 of 3 days Semuliki national park, you will wake up and be served with breakfast, and take the packed lunch, then meet with your safari guide for chimpanzee trekking.
Your safari guide takes you at the park headquarters to be briefed about the rules and regulations to follow during the chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing you go with the park guides to the park trails best for chimpanzee trekking. Then you explore the jungles of the park to look for the chimpanzees, the park being with the dry forests, the chimpanzees move far and wide while looking for food that makes the safari activity not being easy compared to Kibale National Park.
This takes like 3 to 6 hours but once the chimpanzees are found, the experience of finding them can be fascinating in their natural habitats. Then you can be given one hour to be to be with the presence of the chimpanzees in the natural habitants while watching them making nests for their next night, watching them feed, play, groom, and others. This is when you will get take pictures and record them the videos.
When you are done with one hour you can return back from where you have started from to get the chimpanzee trekking certificate for participating in the chimpanzee trekking activity.
From their you can meet with your safari guide and return back to the lodge for the evening relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Nature walk and departure.
On the day 3 of 3 days Semuliki National Park, you will wake up early in the morning and be served with breakfast and check out of your lodge. After you meet your safari guide.
Then you go for nature walk where you will experience different trails like Red monkey trail takes you to rare DeBrazza’s monkeys that can be easily spotted along. You will enjoy the shortest trail known as Sempaya nature trail that takes you to some of the park’s primates and later takes you to the hot springs of Semuliki national park.
After you meet with your safari guide and head to Kampala. Along the way you can have a stopover at Nakayima tree for tree experiences that’s the cultural heritage site where the traditional beliefs of the old are still practiced today, and have lunch. From their safari guide will drop you at your best place of convenience either at your lodge or Entebbe International Airport.
