In this 5 Days Uganda & Rwanda Safari, a traveller will be able to visit the Volcanoes National Park in order to see gorillas, followed by the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking in order to see even more gorillas.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Volcanoes National Park (Rwanda)
Our driver/guide will pick you up at your hotel in Kigali or from the airport when you arrive for the start of your 5 Days Uganda & Rwanda Safari. You’ll then be driven northwards by our driver/guide to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri, a sanctuary for 360 mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park and Cultural tour
On the 2nd day of your 5 Days Uganda & Rwanda Safari , you will be served with breakfast. At 7:30 a.m. in the morning, you will be assembled at the park headquarters for a briefing in the morning, together with your gorilla trekking gear, drinking water, and a packed lunch.
After being picked up by your driver guide, you will be taken to the beginning of the gorilla trail into the forest. The encounter with the gorillas may take anything between one to eight hours, depending on their location. There will be a maximum of one hour in which you will be free to take photographs and be in their presence. Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.
You may want to spend your evening at the Ibyiwacu Cultural Village for a glimpse into Rwanda’s cultural heritage and practices by taking a nature walk or visiting the cultural village. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 3: Dian Fossey hike and Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable national park (Uganda)
In the morning after breakfats, you will continue the 5 Days Uganda & Rwanda Safari as you gather at the park headquarters for briefing. During the hike to the Karisoke Research center, you will meet Dian Fossey, who dedicated all of her life to protecting the lives of mountain gorillas, until she died and was buried there next to Digit, a mountain gorilla who was with her for most of her life.
The research center is a great place to get to know more about the mountain gorillas and their lives.
As soon as you reach Uganda, you will cross over to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a place where half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the world can still be found. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi National Park and Batwa Cultural Tour
On the 4th day of your Safari after being served with breakfast at the lodge. As soon as we arrive at the park headquarters in the morning, we will be briefed by the park rangers about the dos and don’ts while we are with the gorillas to thrill while on Uganda Safaris.
Gorilla trekking in the forest is a memorable experience and is an activity that can take between two and six hours depending on the movement of the gorillas in the forest. During your stay, you will have the opportunity to meet and stay with habituated mountain gorillas for at least an hour. As soon as you exit the forest, your guide will be waiting for you to transfer you to the lodge for lunch/relaxation.
In the evening, you may visit the nearby Batwa community. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 5: Departure to Kigali
After breakfast, transfer back to Kigali to conclude the 5 Days Uganda & Rwanda Safari that you have just enjoyed. Depending on the time you have available before your flight, you may enjoy a city tour of Kigali (optional) including a visit to the local market, the museum and the Gisozi genocide memorial center to name a few. In the afternoon, your safari guide will drop you off at the airport for your scheduled flight back to your next destination.
