Day 1: Land at Kigali International Airport and drive to Volcanoes National Park.

On the first day of 5 Days Volcanoes & Masai Mara National Parks Safari. Depending on your flight into Rwanda, your driver-guide will be there to welcome you to the country of a thousand hills when you arrive at Kigali International Airport and transport you to Volcanoes National Park. Depending on your arrival time, you will greet each other and begin your safari with a tour of Kigali’s city centre or, preferable, lunch. The local Kimironko market is a stopover on the Kigali city tour where you may meet Rwandans and purchase some mementos. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Grounds as well to learn more about what happened in 1994 in Rwanda. Drive to Ruhengeri, the mountain gorillas’ home and the location of the hotel where you will spend the following two nights, after all of this. The day will come to a close once dinner is served at your lodge.

Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park

On the second day of 5 Days Volcanoes & Masai Mara National Parks Safari. Get up early in the morning. Mountain gorilla trekking in Volcanoes requires you to get up as early as 6 in the morning to get a quick breakfast and drive to the park headquarters in time for the rangers’ briefing before you enter the jungle in quest of the mountain gorillas. After the briefing, gather your supplies, appoint a porter if necessary, and begin your trek. Depending on where the gorillas spent the night the previous day, you will search for 2 to 7 hours. When you come across them, you will spend the magical hour admiring these gentle giants from a distance of six metres. You will also have the chance to observe and study the mountain gorillas of the Volcanoes National Park by taking pictures of them. Leave the park and return to your lodge for a late lunch. Your driving guide will be waiting to take you to the Iby’iwachu cultural hamlet for your opportunity to explore the local culture after lunch, once you have recovered your strength. Go for dinner and the second night, make the trip back to your accommodation.

Day 3: Drive back to Kigali airport and connect for your international flight to Kenya. 

On the third day of 5 Days Volcanoes & Masai Mara National Parks Safari .Your safari guide will drive you back to the Kigali international airport in time for your international flight out to Nairobi Kenya, where you will connect with your other driver guide who will be waiting to welcome you to the country. You will go directly from the Jomo Kenyatta airport to your hotel in the Masai Mara area where you will spend the evening. From Nairobi, it takes 5 hours to go to Narok, a small settlement that serves as the entrance to the Masai Mara National Park.

Day 4: Full day in Masai Mara National park.

On the fourth day of 5 Days Volcanoes & Masai Mara National Parks Safari. Get up early in the morning with an early breakfast served at your accommodation is a must if you want to catch the early birds on the morning game drive in Masai Mara National Park in the huge Mara region. Set out to investigate the huge wildlife species present on the Mara plains, including the lions, antelopes, and buffaloes in great numbers. For birders, the game drive in the Masai Mara is also a fantastic opportunity to go birding. You may watch the wildebeest migration from Serengeti to Masai Mara national parks from July to October by travelling along the Mara River. Until you feel the need to eat your packed lunches, you drive around the park.

Evening game drive: After returning to the hotel to avoid the sweltering sun, go on a game drive again later in the evening to see any animals you may have missed during the morning drive. For dinner and a second night in the park, return to your hotel.
