Detailed Itinerary for 5 Day Queen Elizabeth and Gorilla Trekking Tour.
Day 01: Kampala – Transfer to Bwindi.
Very in the morning, with our driver you will drive southwards to Bwindi Impenetrable National park.
After stopover in Mbarara town, you continue with the scenic drive to Kabale town where you will base to transfer further to Bwindi. Check in at the lodge.
Accommodation options are; Buhoma community (Budget), Silverback Lodge (Mid-range) and Gorilla Forest Camp (Luxury).
Day 02: Gorilla Trek & Community walk.
On this day, you will have a lifetime experience – meeting face to face with the species of Mountain Gorillas in the jungles of Bwindi.
Tourists are allowed to stay with the Gorillas in the Jungles for only one hour, later return to the lodge after great moments with the giants of the Jungles.
Return to the lodge for relaxation. In the evening you will be part of the community walk to visit the Batwa people.
Day 03: Bwindi – Drive to Queen Elizabeth.
Early in the morning, start the journey from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector route. You will arrive early for lunch at Mweya Canteen.
In the afternoon, you will have a stupendous boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. This cruise awards great opportunities to sight varied Wildlife species.
Gorilla Trekking Tour
Stay at Simba Safari Camp/Tembo Safari Lodge (Budget), Bush Lodge/Enganzi Safari Lodge (Mid-range) and Mweya Safari Lodge/ Jacana Safari Lodge (Luxury).
Day 04: Morning Game Drive – Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura.
After morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, you will transfer to Kyambura gorge for the incredible chimpanzee tracking excursions.
While in the Jungle for chimpanzees, you will as well sight other primates like colobus monkeys, vervets and more. After return to the lodge for relaxation.
Day 05: Queen Elizabeth- Transfer to Kampala.
Check out at the lodge and drive back to Kampala, stopover in the city for some shopping, money withdraw and later drop off at the airport for return flight.
