7 Days Uganda Rwanda gorilla trekking : A seven-day safari in Uganda and Rwanda with encounters with mountain gorillas is a great way to experience both countries’ national parks when trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Volcanoes National Park.

7 Days Uganda Rwanda Tour Overview

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Upon your arrival, our tour representative will be waiting at the airport to pick you up, drive you to your hotel in Kampala for dinner and to spend your overnight at the hotel in Kampala.

Day 2: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park

On the 2nd day of your 7 Days Uganda Rwanda gorilla trekking, You will be picked up by our tour guide from your hotel in Kampala early in the morning, and then you will be taken by vehicle to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in the south western part of Uganda, where almost half of the world’s endangered Mountain Gorillas are found.

The trip to the park will be accompanied by a stop over at Mpambire drum village, as well as at the Equator at Kayabwe, where water experiments will be conducted in order to demonstrate to you that you are in both atmospheric zones

After lunch, proceed to Mbarara town and then proceed to the park. Later after lunch you will transfer to the Park headquarters at Buhoma. Dinner and overnight stay

Day 3: Gorilla trek in Bwindi forest Park

After a quick breakfast and a briefing from one of the UWA officials, we set off early in the morning in order to track the gorillas. An adventure of a lifetime awaits you as you embark on this once in a lifetime experience. Upon arrival at the thick forest, the ranger guides will lead you into the thick forest where you will begin your search for the endangered Mountain Gorillas. The trail will take you up and down rugged terrain until you finally reach these harmonious creatures who will entertain you with a performance for about an hour as you move up and down the rugged terrain.

The activity can take 6-7 hours since the gorillas move up and down. This is an awe some and exciting moment. On the route, you will see a lot of chimpanzees as well as other types of primates such as monkeys, birds and so many other types of primates. Return for dinner and over night stay at the lodge

Day 4: Transfer to Rwanda

On the 4th day of your 7 Days Uganda Rwanda gorilla trekking, As soon as you finish breakfast, you will drive to Kisoro where you will cross the border between Uganda-Rwanda-Kyanika. Take a break for lunch on the way to your lodge and arrive there in the afternoon. The time difference between Rwanda and Uganda is one hour, so you should be aware of the fact that Rwanda is one hour behind Uganda in terms of time. On your arrival, you will be taken on a Kigali city tour of Ruhengeri. After that, you will be transferred to the hotel where you will stay overnight for dinner and the rest of the night

Day 5: Gorilla tracking in Rwanda

The second time that you are tracking these endangered and rare mountain gorilla species will be your second experience to do so. It is important to keep in mind that the tracking time in Rwanda is different from the tracking time in Uganda. Most of the Gorilla groups in Rwanda are very near and therefore the time taken to track these gorillas is also not much. Once you have returned to your hotel, you will have lunch and take a short walk around the area before going to bed. Dinner and overnight at your lodge

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Uganda

On the 6th day of your 7 Days Uganda Rwanda gorilla trekking, As soon as you finish your breakfast, you will be transferred to Katuna Border (the border between Rwanda and Uganda). You will be transferred by the customs and immigrations department to Kabale Town for lunch after you have cleared the customs and immigrations department. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi by road, where you will arrive in the late afternoon. Spend the rest of the afternoon on the boat ride touring most of the Islands on the Lake. Dinner and overnight

Day 7: Departure to Kampala

In the morning, you will have breakfast and drive back to Kampala, stopping for lunch en route in Mbarara town. Arrive in Kampala late evening. Dinner and overnight stay at your Hotel.
