Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Entebbe and Hotel drop off
Upon your arrival at Entebbe airport, a representative from our company will be waiting for you together with the guide in order to welcome you to the country. Afterward, you will be transferred to Kampala city where you will spend the night. Have dinner and overnight stay at Via Via Guesthouse for budget

Day 2: Drive to Jinja – Source of the Nile Tour –Evening sunset boat cruise
After breakfast, you will be met by your safari guide at 8 am to begin your journey to Jinja, the source of the Nile.
During the tour, you will drive through the Lugazi Sugar plantations and Mabira forest, Uganda’s largest rainforest. You will also have the opportunity to stop for pictures en route.
Upon arrival in Jinja, visit the Itanda falls and other places of interest. Afterward, drive to Jinja town for lunch and explore the town, later in the afternoon, visit the remarkable source of the Nile, and in the evening, take part in a sunset boat trip on Lake Victoria. Return to your reserved hotel in Jinja for dinner and overnight stay at Nile Front Cottages for budget options.
Day 3: Transfer to Sipi Falls
On the 3rd day of your 20 Days Uganda wildlife Safari Tour, The hike adventure starts early in the morning after breakfast at your hotel in Jinja so you can reach Sipi falls at the most rewarding time.
A four to five hour drive is required, including a lunch break en route. At the foothills of Mount Elgon, in Kapchorwa district, there is an amazing waterfall called Sipi Falls, which can be found just at the edge of Mount Elgon national park near the Kenyan border. There are three waterfalls in this waterfall with the highest waterfall dropping 100 meters. Your level of fitness will determine whether you hike 2 waterfalls or whether you hike all three waterfalls, offering you a fabulous view of the beautiful nature around and the opportunity to spot notable birds and wildlife. Upon finishing the hike, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your accommodation in Bandas -Budget Option or a similar option for an overnight stay at the Sip River Lodge
Day 4: Transfer to Kidepo National Park
After waking up early in the morning, taking your breakfast, checking out of the lodge and setting off for the 8 to 9 hour drive to Kidepo Valley National Park, you will have a wonderful time.
A full day drive with an en route lunch stopover will take you to the eastern and far north eastern region of Uganda with beautiful people in their own language.
Upon arrival at the park in the late afternoon, you will proceed to check into your booked accommodation for a few hours of rest and relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at Apoka Rest Camp for budget option.
Day 5: Full day game drive – Kidepo Valley National Park
You will depart early in the morning after having a cup of coffee or tea and drive for 3 hours to Kidepo national park where you will go for a game drive in Kidepo valley where you are likely to see herds of buffaloes, zebras, elephants, giraffes, hyenas and cheetahs among others.
During your game drive you can be sure to stop for memorable photographs that you will cherish for a lifetime. After drive back to the lodge and spend the evening at leisure viewing the wilderness. Dinner and overnight stay at as above
Day 6: Morning game drive in Kidepo Valley
After breakfast, you are going to enjoy another fabulous game drive in the vast savannah of Kidepo Valley and you will be surrounded by patches of Borassus palm trees and the rising scenic hills of the valley.
During the early morning hours, you can also enjoy the breathtaking views of the rising sun over the hills of Lomej, the Lotukei Mountains to the north close to the Sudan border, as well as the Morungole range to the south, which forms one of the southern borders of Kidepo.
A visit to Kidepo and Narus valley starts even before the sun’s rays strike down to the endless valleys of the Kidepo mountains.
In the afternoon, you will be taken back to the lodge for lunch and a bit of rest before embarking on a drive to Kidepo Valley near the border with South Sudan, where you can visit the hot springs and view Ostriches in the region, although their numbers are highly threatened due to poaching by South Sudanese. Day 7: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park ‘’Full day drive’’
On the 7th day of your 20 Days Uganda wildlife Safari Tour, Have breakfast, leave Kidepo via Gulu district for lunch, and then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park via the Gulu district.
There is a long drive through one of the gates of the park that takes about a full day. Return back to your lodge for a night rest at Parkside Safari Lodge for budget.
Day 8: Game drive and Boat Cruise
Once you have finished breakfast, your journey will take you to the top of the falls for an exciting experience of the falls up close.
You will drive to connect to the falls. At different points along the top of the falls, you can get a good view of the great Murchison Falls. After enjoying a good time at the top of the falls. Then after will meet your driver and return for lunch.
After lunch, you will have the opportunity to take a boat trip on the Nile in the afternoon that will give you a great view of the bottom of the mighty Murchison Falls as you cruise along the Nile.
As you cruise along the river banks, you can expect to see hippos, crocodiles, cormorants, kingfishers, and bee-eaters among other bird species that are common to the area. Return to the lodge with an en route evening game drive to find some wild animals of the park. Have dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.
Day 9: Top of the falls visit and Rhino tracking in Ziwa Rhino sanctuary
Upon waking, have breakfast, check out of the lodge, connect with your park safari guide, and visit the top of the falls for an unforgettable experience. Visit the top of the Murchison Falls in order to get a good view of the great Murchison falls from different viewpoints.
In the afternoon, after spending a wonderful time at the top of the Falls, you will meet your driver guide and you will return to Masindi for lunch.
Then you will connect for an afternoon rhino tracking experience on foot, which can take 2 to 3 hours. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Ziwa Rhino lodge for budget.
Day 10: Transfer to Kibale National Park
On the 10th day of your 20 Days Uganda wildlife Safari Tour, In the morning, after a hearty breakfast, you will depart to the lodge and then proceed for your long journey to Kibale Forest National Park, which is the habitat to almost 13 species of primates.
These includes L’Hoest monkey, red colobus among others. You will have lunch in Kagadi. Proceed with the journey to the Kibale Forest National Park. Dinner and Overnight stay at Kibale Forest Lodge for budget
Day 11: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Swamp Walk
As soon as you have finished breakfast, you will be taken for a chimp tracking adventure within the Kibale Forest. A number of primate species can be observed during your search, including colobus monkeys, chimpanzees and others, such as forest elephants, bush pigs, duikers, reptiles, warthogs, amphibians, and a wide variety of butterflies. Back to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will take a nature walk in the Bigodi swamp area in search of many of the sought after water loving bird species. Kibale Forest is home to over 335 bird species and therefore a rewarding place for birders. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 12: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will wake up in the morning, eat breakfast at your lodge, and then depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, where tree climbing lions are found.
It’s a 3-4 hour’s drive arriving at time for lunch at the lodge. Later afternoon, spend your day at leisure. Have dinner and overnight stay at Pumba safari lodge for budget.
Day 13: Game drive and Lunch cruise –Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast in the morning, you will head out to find early risers in the Kasenyi area in the search of lion tracking experiences and game drives that will take you on a journey of exploration and discovery. The Queen Elizabeth Islands have a diverse eco-system that includes rivers, crater lakes, grass plains, forests, swamps, and lakes that make up a diverse ecosystem.
These are habitat to various types of wildlife and a game drive in Queen Elizabeth that rewards you with great views of animals like lions, antelopes, buffalos, waterbucks, Uganda kob, elephants and other types of antelopes.
After lunch, return to your lodge and enjoy a three-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and Lake Edward. This boat cruise will allow you to spot the highest concentration of hippos and you may also explore many animals drinking at the water’s edge. The cruise also offers beautiful platform for photography, birding and game viewing. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.
Day 14: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Wake up, have breakfast, then set out on a game drive in the Ishasha area – Queen Elizabeth and expect to see the unique tree-climbing lions.
The lions can be seen hanging up the fig trees. Nevertheless, it is not guaranteed that you will be able to see the lions during the tour. Sometimes it depends on the luck and season of the year visited. After lunch in the Ishasha sector, you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Arrive at the park in the evening check in to the lodge as you wait for your next day Gorilla trek. Dinner and Overnight stay at Buhoma Community Rest Camp
Day 15: Gorilla trekking experience – Bwindi Impenetrable National park
On the 15th day of your 20 Days Uganda wildlife Safari Tour, After breakfast and a briefing from UWA officials, begin the gorilla tracking early in the morning. This is a once lifetime experience and unforgettable adventure. In order to locate the endangered Mountain Gorillas, your ranger guides will lead you into the thick forest trail.
You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures that will entertain you with performances for about 1 hour.
The activity can take 2 -7 hours since the gorillas move up and down. There is nothing better than being in the middle of something this exciting and awesome. En-route, there are other types of the primates such as monkeys, birds, and more. Return for dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 16: Batwa Cultural Tour – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast and a short cultural tour of Buhoma, which begins at the main office in Nkwenda, you will begin your hiking experience in Buhoma which will take you through a two to four day hike visiting African homes, farms, and village centers. You are invited to visit the local community sites of Bakiga and Batwa people, where you will be exposed to their amazing ancient lives, as well as hear their amazing stories about how they used to live peacefully with the mountain gorillas as well as take part in their traditional dance.
After return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, drive to Lake Bunyonyi. Get settled in your booked lodge for a relaxing evening of dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at Bunyonyi Eco Resort for Budgets
Day 17: Full day Lake Bunyonyi
On the 17th day of your 20 Days Uganda wildlife Safari Tour, In the morning, wake up eat breakfast, then connect to Lake Bunyonyi which is one of the deepest lakes in Africa and is renowned for being a roosting place for many different types of birds. The lake has almost 32 islands. Lake Bunyonyi is a perfect stopover for relaxation for people from gorilla trekking in Bwindi.
Upon arrival, you will set on a boat ride. This will allow you to visit one of the islands on the lake.
Each Island has its amazing history to listen to by the guides. As soon as you have finished your boat ride, head back to the lodge to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset from the lodge. Dinner and Overnight at Lodge as above.
Day 18: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Following an early morning breakfast, we will take you to Lake Mburo National Park for an early morning safari tour. After reaching Mbarara town in time for lunch, you will proceed to the park for a game drive en route where you can expect to see clear views of animals such as zebras, buffaloes and elands as you pass through the park.
At the park headquarters, you will have the chance to register for the evening nature walk along the Kigambara loop after you arrive and register. This loop provides stunning nature walks alongside the lake. Dinner and overnight stay at Eagles Nest Lodge for budget.
Day 19: Walking safari and Boat ride on Lake Mburo
On the 19th day of your 20 Days Uganda wildlife Safari Tour, In the early morning, after you have had your breakfast, you will meet your ranger guides for a walking safari, which is one of the best experiences to see the hidden treasures of the park and to view animals, especially antelope.
Walk back to the lodge for refreshments, lunch and in the afternoon go for a boat ride on Lake Mburo where you expect to get quite close to crocodiles and hippos. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.
Day 20: Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe/Departure
On your last day 20 of the Uganda trip, you will have breakfast and then drive back to the park for a game drive on the way. Those who wake up early will have a chance to see animals that were not seen on the previous game drive. You will then drive back to Kampala with an en-route lunch and visit the Equator for water experiments and memorable photos, as well as the Royal Drum Village at Mpambire for souvenirs.
Proceed to Kampala to be dropped at your hotel or drop off at Entebbe Airport for your flight back home.
