Queen Elizabeth National Park Fees
Queen Elizabeth National Park Fees : The national park fees are defined as conservation tariff by the Uganda wildlife authority. This is because it used to support all the conservation programs as put by the authority. The permits into Queen Elizabeth national park are provided at the gate such as the kabatoro main gate.
Before tourists enter into the national park, they are supposed to present their valid identification which helps to determine their status such as foreigner, foreign resident and east African citizen.
Note; the foreign residents of Uganda are supposed to present valid one-year working permits, foreigners have to provide their passports for verification whereas the EastAfrican citizens provide their national identification cards in order to get the entry permits into the national park. However, the entry permits are valid for only 24hours therefore any extra time within the park is charged as the second day. Therefore, tourists have to be time conscious within the national park.
The entrance fee for Queen Elizabeth national park is 40USD for the foreigners, 30USD for foreign residents and 20,000UGX for the east African community. The entrance fee is for a day which is 24hours. The entry fee is not levied on children meaning children below 15 years.
ANNUAL ENTRY FEES
Individuals can decide to pay annual entry fee and this applies to foreign residents that is foreigners that work in Uganda and members of the east African community that is Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, Kenya and Tanzania.
An individual that is a foreign resident pays 350USD as an annual entry fee
A citizen to the east African community pays 150,000UGX
A couple that are foreign residents pay 500USD
A couple that are residents of the east African community are to pay 200,000UGX
A family with 4 children for foreign residents is levied 700USD as entry fee to queen Elizabeth national park
A family of east African citizens are levied 300,000 UGX to queen Elizabeth national park
The annual park entry fee for the foreign residents is 1500USD AND 2,500,000 million for corporate east African citizens.
A safari guide is levied 100,000UGX for annual park fees to queen Elizabeth national park. A Uganda safari guide has to be a citizen of the east African community, the same price is attached to the taxi driver
VEHICLES AND AIRCRAFT
Motorcycles are levied 30 USD for the foreign residents and 10,000 UGX for the east African citizens.
Saloon cars are also charges 40USD for the foreign residents and 20,000 for the east African citizens.
Minibuses for the foreign residents are charged 50USD and 30,000 UGX for the east African citizens.
Pickups and the 4WD car for foreign residents are levied 50 USD and 30,000UGX for the east African residents.
The school buses are as well charged 50,000 UGX.
AIR CRAFTS
Helicopters are charged 100 USD for foreign residents and 250,000UGX for the east African citizens per landing.
A 4 to 21 and above aircraft are charged 30USD to 50 USD for the foreign residents and 60,000UGX to 120,000 for the east African residents
The parking fee for aircraft per day is 8 USD for the foreign residents and for the east African citizens its 5000 UGX.
CAUTION
Park entrance fees are exclusive of the park entry fees of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The en-route pilots are not to pay the park entry fees if they stay for less than 2 hours
The more the vehicle enters into to the national park the more it’s charged.
