Things to do in Uganda : Uganda the pearl of Africa is the most favorable destination one can while planning to go on a safari/ vacation/ holiday in Africa. Visiting Murchison falls national park.
Murchison falls National Park is considered as the largest national park in the country and it was established as a park in the year of 1952. This national park is the best destination for those interested in sightseeing wildlife species that are within the country. tourists in Murchison falls national park always have great chances of looking at wildlife animals like; giraffes, African elephants, lions, leopards, mountain gorillas, crocodiles, hippos, antelopes, waterbucks, Uganda kob, buffalos and many others. More so, a tour in Murchison falls national park is considered incomplete without getting a chance to visit the Murchison falls that have stunning roaring waters.
Visit Jinja.
Jinja is a beautiful place where one can visit while on their safari in Uganda. Jinja is considered the true source of the Nile where the white water flows out of Lake Victoria. In addition, Jinja is a place where tourists have chances and opportunities of engaging themselves in many exciting adventure activities as they explore through all the nature within and near Jinja. For example, these activities include; mountain biking, horse riding, bungee jumping, tubing, white- water rafting, quad biking, Kayaking and many others.
Hike to Sipi falls.
Sipi falls are situated in Mount Elgon National Park. Sipi falls in Uganda are considered as the most romantic falls proven by the stunning roaring waters. More so, tourists take a short drive, which is about 277 kilometers from Kampala, the capital city of Uganda to Sipi falls that is located in Kapchorwa district in the Eastern region of the country. In addition, the unique thing noticed about the three waterfalls that make up the sipi falls is that they flow at different heights. Sipi falls is a good destination for one to chill, relax off their work stress and their other personal problems as they also free away from the craziness noise from the city. Tourists visiting in Sipi falls also have chances of engaging in activities like; Abseiling and rock climbing, cultural encounters , bird watching, visiting the sipi River, visiting the coffee plantations, mountain biking and many others.
Visit Lake Victoria.
Lake Victoria is considered as the largest lake in Uganda, which is also shared among other countries like; Kenya and Tanzania. Lake Victoria is one of the favorite destinations that one should not miss checking out while they are on their wildlife safari in Uganda. more so, while tourists visiting lake Victoria, they can involve in the following activities like; swimming which is done at wonderful beaches like; Lido beach, playing volleyball, boat cruise which are best done in the evening and in the morning, sport fishing, sunrise and sunset canoeing among others.
Visit Entebbe
Entebbe town is a small town, which is laid back along the shores of Lake Victoria and is neighbouring with Entebbe International Airport, which makes it a favourable town where visitors coming in and planning to go out of Uganda always spend their nights. More so, tourists exploring around Entebbe town can participate in several activities like; visiting Entebbe botanic gardens, mountain biking, exploring through the impressive Uganda wildlife conservation education centre, shopping from the craft markets, horse riding and visiting the Ngamba island chimpanzee sanctuary which is well known for protecting the orphaned chimpanzee, bird watching and many more.
Visit Queen Elizabeth national park.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is well known the second largest and considered as the most visited national park in the country. this park is famously known for its tree climbing lions which are known to be the biggest tourist attraction within this national park however the park is known to be a home to over 96 mammal species such as; lions, buffaloes, hippos, elephants, crocodiles, warthogs, leopards, hyenas which can easily be spotted with the dense forests in the park. More so, tourists visiting in Queen Elizabeth National Park can get opportunities to engage in various numbers of activities that help them have a great experience while on their tour and these include; bird watching, chimpanzee trekking which is best done with in Kyambura Gorge, game viewing, visiting caves, for example, the bat cave which is found in the Maramagambo forest, lion tracking and many others.
Visiting the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
Tourists visiting in Uganda the endangered rhino species, which are only specifally, found in the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary. This sanctuary was started by the Rhino reintroduction project and the profits, which were always made from visitors who always went towards the breeding programme in 2005. More so, this sanctuary was started with an aim of building a sustainable rhinoceros population and to relocate the rhinos into their well-protected natural habitats. Apart from the Rhinos, this sanctuary is also a home to over 40 mammal species such as; crocodiles, hippos, antelopes, monkeys among others and it is a good destination for bird lovers to visit because it harbours over 300 bird species.
