Detailed Itinerary for 10 Day Best of Uganda’s Wildlife.

Day 01: Arrival at Entebbe Airport

On arrival, Our Uganda Safari expert, will be waiting for you at the Airport/ Area of Pick up to take you along to this 10 Days Safari in Uganda, Depending on your time of arrival, our guide will transfer you to your Hotel for dinner and overnight, Incase you arrive early, there is an option for you to do a Kampala City tour. Kampala is the commercial capital bordering Lake Victoria  sitting on the historical Seven Hills, you will have an option to tour all these sites including a Visit to some of the contemporary skyscrapers, the Uganda Museum-explores the country’s tribal heritage through an extensive collection of artefacts and many more.

Day 02: Kampala – Lake Mburo National Park

Wake Up early morning on a fine ambiance, after your breakfast, our Guide will meet you up at around 6:30am, for a short briefing about todays progam, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park to complete a 3 to 4 hours drive via Kampala – Masaka – Mbarara highway. The road drive has alot to showcase, Drive passed the overlooking hills carpeted by plantations and Vegetation, as well as understanding the way of life.

You will arrive early, have lunch and later in the afternoon you will take Lake Mburo boat ride to sight some aquatic species like crocodiles, hippos and water birds. The Park contains a broad area of wetland. Its mosaic habitat, dry hillside, bushes, thickets, open and wooded savannahs, forests lakes and swamps are home to numerous of wildlife. It has species of mammals including Impalas, Zebras, birds and Buffaloes. Bill storks’ species of birds is only found here

Day 03: Lake Mburo – Transfer to Bwindi

That’s enough to soak up in Lake Mburo, early in the morning after your Breakfast, you can have a game drive. After, return to the lodge for breakfast and after transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the Home of Uganda Mountain Gorillas .

This journey is impressive with views of terraced hills and deep valleys. Lounge at Buhoma Community Bandas/Bakiga Lodge (Budget), Gorilla Mist Camp (Mid-range) and Mahogany Springs Lodge (Luxury)

Day 04: Gorilla trekking Experience

For this day, you will have a lifetime experience – meeting face to face with the species of Mountain Gorillas in the jungles of Bwindi.bTourists are allowed to stay with the Gorillas in the Jungles for only one hour, later return to the lodge after great moments with the giants of the Jungles.

Return to the lodge for relaxation. In the evening you can visit the Batwa people while on community walks.

Day 05: Bwindi Forest – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After the astonishing Gorilla trek in Buhoma, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector route. You will behold the notable tree climbing lions en route in the Ishasha sector. These animals are usually sighted while resting up in fig trees.

After, continue to Queen for lunch at Mweya canteen – Later you will enjoy a cruise along Kazinga channel. Stay at Simba Safari Camp (Budget), Ihamba Safari Lodge/Bush Lodge (Mid-range) and Mweya Safari Lodge/ Jacana Safari Lodge (luxury)

Day 06: Game Drive & Launch Trip Cruise on the Channel

You will start the day with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains. After this 2-3 hours excursion, your driver will drive to Mweya peninsula to have launch at Mweya canteen.

In the afternoon, you will do a boat along the waters of Kazinga Channel. Accommodation at Simba Safari Camp (Budget), Enganzi Lodge (Mid-range) and Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury)

Day 07: Queen Elizabeth – Proceed to Kibale Forest.

On the 7th day of your 10 Day Best of Uganda’s Wildlife, Enjoy your delicious breakfast, after start the Journey to the home of Chimpanzees through Fort portal. Have lunch in Fort town and proceed to Kibale.

Check in at the lodge to relax and in the evening you can do the Bigodi walk. Stay at Chimpanzee Guest House/Rwenzori View Guest House (Budget), Ndali Lodge (Mid-range) and Kyaninga Lodge (Luxury)

Day 08: Kibale Forest – Murchison falls National Park

It is advised to be part of the morning chimpanzee tracking session because after lunch you will transfer up to Murchison Falls National Park.

Reaching Murchison in the evening, if time allows you hike up to the top of the falls. Accommodation at Red Chilli Camp (Budget), Sambiya River Lodge (Mid-range) and Paara Safari Lodge (luxury)

Day 09: Game Drive & Boat Cruise

You will start with a morning game drive before you head for an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Expect to see numerous Wildlife species like Buffaloes, Antelopes. Elephants, Hippos, Crocodiles and more.

Day 10: Drive Back to Kampala – Departure.

After breakfast, a short game drive is awarded and after start the journey back to Kampala for your return flight back home.
